Each year, 25% of people in the UK suffer from a mental health condition. While treatable, worries about jobs, money, accommodation and relationships can take their toll, as well as the stigma still associated with having a mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, bipolar, obsessive compulsive disorder and many more. The Calm Room is a safe space for people to find out more about mental health and invisible disabilities, access services and do more to help others suffering.
Phee Waterfield, Director and Founder: Following her own battle with accessing mental health services, Phee set up The Calm Room to provide advice and act as an advocate for others who are vulnerable and do not know how to access mental health services for themselves. She is also a freelance journalist and senior communication consultant, and is currently undertaking projects to bring more awareness of mental health illnesses.
